Since 1995 the Montana Hunter has been one of our most popular hunting handguns and is available in 2 styles and 2 calibers. It is available with the standard Gunfighter Grip or the bisley Gunfighter Grip. It is also available in either 45 long colt or our own 356 GNR, which is the 41 magnum brass necked down to 357 and which has all the power of a 44 magnum but is much faster and flatter shooting. |

The Montana Hunter is built on your base gun and comes in either satin Vapor Honed stainless or in our Black Chromex finish. You get our own 5 shot cylinder, heavy duty barrel in the length of your choice, interchangeable blade front sight system, Gunfighter Grip with the grips of your choice including Micarta or laminated Cherry. The gun can also be had with the optional gold or silver bands at a small additional charge. The Montana Hunter comes with the animal scenes of your choice or scroll engraving and your name can be engraved on the gun at no extra charge.

Our MONTANA HUNTER is also chambered in a new cartridge, our 356
GNR. The MONTANA
HUNTER is a true hunters handgun, built on the super strong Ruger Blackhawk®
action. The MONTANA HUNTER has a Bisley® gripframe for more control
during recoil. The Bisley® hammer and trigger also make for a more accurate revolver. The
gun has fully adjustable sights and is sighted in when you get it. |

We install our
Gunfighter Grip on it for a more comfortable feel and a full action job has been done for
a super smooth hammer and trigger pull. Finally we put our own Black Chromex finish on the
gun with our trademark 2 silver bands on the cylinder. The gun comes with the grips of
your choice, with the one shown having pearl grips. Our new 356 GNR cartridge is a brand
new cartridge for us, being developed over the past year. It is a 41 magnum case necked
down to 357 magnum. With velocities in the 2100 range for a 158 grain bullet and 2200 for
a 125 this cartridge makes a viable hunting round for the person that likes a 357 caliber
revolver. Also anyone with a good strong 357 magnum revolver can have their gun
rechambered to the 356 GNR. A great pair for this falls hunting season, the 356 GNR and
the MONTANA HUNTER. |
